You don't have to be superhuman to be a good friend.  Young people just need someone to spend time with them and share their hopes and dreams.  Big Brothers Big Sisters are regular people like you, and they're united by one common goal:  Make the world a better place for children. 

Our volunteers come from all walks of life, all ethnic and educational  backgrounds.  We have Big Brothers and Big Sisters ranging from 16 -80 years old. Each match relationship is unique and shaped by the different personalities, interests and needs of the volunteer and child.  Simply put, mentors help kids develop their strengths and talents.Be a friend to a child like some caring person once did for you.  It only takes a little time and a willing heart.
